For builders, developers & property managers

Electrify every unit on the circuits it already has.

In condos, townhomes and apartments, panel space and building service run out first. The Smart Splitter lets two 240V loads share one circuit, so units add EV charging and electric appliances without new circuits or a service upgrade.

What one circuit can share

One 240V circuit. Two appliances.

The appliance on the primary outlet gets priority and the other waits its turn. No new circuit, and nothing new for the panel.

  • Most common

    Dryer + EV

The laundry-room outlet becomes a Level 2 charger. Nearly 3,800 active Splitters run this pair.

    • NEMA 10-30 and 14-30 dryer outlets
    • The dryer always gets priority
    • Up to 24A of Level 2 charging
  • Shared garages

    Two EVs, one outlet

Two cars charge from one 50A receptacle, in turn or at the same time at 20A each.

    • 14-50, 10-50 and 6-50 receptacles
    • Switches when the first car is full
    • No second circuit for the second car
  • Electrification

    Water heater, range or A/C

Owners already share circuits between water heaters, ranges, A/C units, dryers and EVs, so new electric appliances don’t need new circuits.

    • Schedule the shared outlet in the app
    • Tell us the appliance; we’ll confirm the fit
  • New · Installed in the panel

    Energy Monitor

For units that need a new charger circuit: sensors on the service let the charger run as fast as the panel safely allows.

    • 200A sensors, Wi-Fi + Ethernet
    • Works with Smart Splitter and Autel AC Elite
    • Licensed-electrician install

Why it works at building scale

Fewer upgrades. Happier residents.

Every unit gets Level 2 charging and room for electric appliances, and the building’s electrical service stays as it is.

  • Building service

No new load on the panel

Shared circuits don’t add circuits, so units electrify without triggering panel or service upgrades.

  • Renter-friendly

    Plug-in, not rewired

The Splitter plugs into the unit’s existing receptacle. No new wiring inside the unit, and it comes out when the unit turns over.

  • Off-peak by default

Residents charge in the cheap hours

The NeoCharge app schedules charging and the shared outlet around time-of-use rates, unit by unit.

  • Support

    One partner for every unit

Install guides for your electricians and app support for residents, from the first unit to the last.

Townhomes, condos & rentals

Built for multifamily.

Every building type runs out of capacity in a different place. The Smart Splitter works with the 240V outlets each one already has, so electrification happens unit by unit.

  • Townhomes & row homesEach unit’s garage dryer outlet becomes a Level 2 charger. BC Hydro’s rebate covers row homes and duplexes.
  • Condo & apartment parkadesWhere a stall has a 240V receptacle, two EVs can share it instead of waiting on a new circuit.
  • Rentals & suitesPlug-in, so there’s no new wiring in the unit, and it comes out at turnover.

Builder & property FAQ

Questions property teams ask

Something else? Ask our partnerships team.

Can the Smart Splitter share a circuit with a water heater, range or A/C?

Yes. Active Smart Splitters already share circuits with water heaters, ranges and A/C units as well as dryers and EVs. The appliance has to plug into a receptacle the Splitter supports (NEMA 10-30, 14-30, 10-50, 14-50 or 6-50). Tell us the appliance and we’ll confirm the fit before you spec it.

Does it work in apartments, condos and townhomes?

Yes, wherever a unit has a supported 240V receptacle. It plugs in, so it needs no new wiring inside the unit.

How does it avoid a panel or service upgrade?

Two loads share one existing circuit. The appliance on the primary outlet gets priority and the other waits, so the circuit is never overloaded. No new circuit means nothing new for the panel or the building’s service.

What about new construction or EV-ready parking?

For a new dedicated charger circuit, the NeoCharge Energy Monitor reads the service and lets the charger run as fast as the panel safely allows, without upsizing the service. Tell us about the project and we’ll help plan it.

Do rebates apply?

Many utilities pay for the Smart Splitter, including PG&E, SMUD, Tacoma Power, Holy Cross Energy and BC Hydro. BC Hydro’s rebate covers detached homes, row homes, duplexes and mobile homes. See every program.

Is it certified, and what is the warranty?

It is cUL listed for the US and Canada. Every unit has a 1-year warranty; the Pro Package extends that to 3 years with 60-day returns.
