Electricians quoted me $2,500 minimum for a new outlet. A friend recommended this — worked perfectly right out of the box. No setup, no issues, no manually swapping huge 14-30 cables.

Saved me from spending $2,100 on an additional 240V/30A circuit. Cut my Mach-E charging time from 24 hours to 6. Auto-switches with the dryer — stops, then resumes. Genius.
Craig · Ford Mach-E owner
My panel couldn't handle another 240V circuit. No permits, no $15k panel upgrade — sheer genius. The Smart Splitter shares my dryer outlet and powers either device.
Alex P. · Tesla Model 3 owner
Foolproof. Priority goes to the dryer, then reroutes power to my EV when it's done. No programming, just plug in. UL rated matters in a garage with gas cans.
John · PHEV owner
My wife and I both plug in. When her car finishes charging in the middle of the night, it switches to mine automatically. No second outlet, no second charger.
Scott E. · Two-EV household
Five EVs plus one 240V appliance. Saves us from wiring in another 14-50 outlet — and charges two EVs back-to-back automatically. Price for what it does is great.
Roger N. · Five-EV household
Plug in the EV. Run the dryer — EV pauses. Dryer finishes — EV resumes. Months in and zero problems. Does exactly what it says.
Steve S. · Verified buyer
New Tesla, no new outlet install. Ran a 25-foot cord from the laundry room ceiling out to the garage. Defaults to the dryer so my wife doesn't have to do anything different.
Peter M. · Tesla owner
SMART SPLITTER VS. TRADITIONAL INSTALL
COST
Panel upgrade required
Adding Level 2 EV charging usually means a $3k+ panel upgrade — utility service work, new circuit, electrician fees.
INSTALL
Weeks of waiting
Schedule an electrician, file permits, wait for inspection — typically 4–6 weeks before your first charge.
CHARGING
Tripped breakers, manual swaps
Forget the dryer is running and you trip the breaker. Or you swap plugs back and forth like an extension cord.
SAVINGS
Pay peak-hour rates by default
Most EV drivers charge whenever they get home — usually peak hours, sometimes 3× the off-peak price.
COST
Plug-in device, $399
Use your existing 240V outlet. No panel upgrade, no new circuit, no electrician for most installs.
INSTALL
<10 min self-install
Plug in. Done. Charge tonight. UL-listed and NEC-compliant out of the box.
CHARGING
Auto-switching, no thinking
Charges your EV. Pauses for the dryer. Resumes itself. Real-time load monitoring built in.
SAVINGS
App schedules off-peak charging
The NeoCharge App auto-charges during your utility's cheapest hours. Drivers save $300+/yr.

Primary Outlet
Plug your dryer or priority EV into the Primary outlet to provide power on-demand.
Secondary Outlet
The Secondary outlet is used for your EV charger. The Smart Splitter uses a set of relays to pause power to the Secondary outlet and avoid overloading the circuit. The Secondary outlet can be scheduled to only allow power during off-peak utility rate times
EV Connector
There are two main EV connector standards in North America: J3400 (Tesla/NACS) and J1772. Many new EVs are moving to J3400, while adapters are common during the transition.
Easy Install with Mounting Bracket
No need to drill extra holes in your wall. The Smart Splitter comes with a bracket that screws into the existing wallplate to secure the Smart Splitter in place.
EVSE / EV Charger
Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) is commonly known as an EV charger. Level 2 chargers use AC power and may be wall-mounted or portable, depending on the setup.
You invested in your EV... now invest in safe, smart charging. While basic splitters lack essential safety certifications, NeoCharge's UL-listed Smart Splitter is trusted by 25,000+ EV drivers across North America and pays for itself with smart charging that schedules charging when electricity is cheapest. The choice is clear.
UL Listed for SafetySmart auto-switching means you no longer have to swap your plugs. The priority goes to the dryer (most common) or EV plugged into the primary outlet, when the dryer is finished your EV will begin charging.
Certified for electrical safety by UL, the global leader in tech safety. The only UL listed Smart Splitter and built with an internal software breaker.
With two EVs plugged in at maximum amperage (32-40 amps) the Smart Splitter will fully charge the EV on the Primary side before switching to the EV on the Secondary side.
Certified for electrical safety by UL, the global leader in tech safety. The only UL listed Smart Splitter and built with an internal software breaker.
Set your EV charger(s) or EV(s) to 20 amps or less (half power) to allow for simultaneous EV Charging. The Smart Splitter ensures both cars can charge at once without tripping the breaker.

Everything Canadian EV drivers ask before using the Smart Splitter to avoid rewiring and panel upgrades.
Your $200 CAD off offer auto-applies at checkout. The offer is for Canadian Smart Splitter customers and applies to the Smart Splitter purchase before taxes and shipping.
British Columbia customers should check the BC Hydro Smart Splitter rebate page before purchasing. BC Hydro has treated EV power management devices like the Smart Splitter differently than a standard Level 2 charger, so the best path is to confirm the current rebate requirements, buy the matching Smart Splitter model, and keep your receipt for the application.
The Canada-wide NeoCharge offer is simple: $200 CAD off, auto-applied at checkout. Utility rebates and rate plans vary by province and can change. If you are with Hydro One, Toronto Hydro, Alectra, Hydro-Québec, BC Hydro, FortisBC, ENMAX, EPCOR, SaskPower, Manitoba Hydro, NB Power, Nova Scotia Power, Newfoundland Power, or another local utility, check whether they offer EV charger rebates, EV time-of-use rates, or managed charging programs before checkout.
Yes. Canadian homes use the same North American 120/240V split-phase service used by the Smart Splitter. The important part is choosing the model that matches your existing 240V outlet and your EV charger plug, such as common dryer, range, welder, or EV charging outlets.
A traditional Level 2 charger often requires a dedicated 240V circuit. If your panel is full or your service is limited, that can turn into a costly panel or service upgrade. The Smart Splitter lets your EV charger safely share an existing 240V outlet with a priority appliance or another EV, so many homes can get faster charging without new wiring.
For most compatible setups, no. The Smart Splitter is a plug-in device and usually installs in under 10 minutes. If you do not already have a compatible 240V outlet near where you park, or if you want a new circuit or hardwired charger, use a licensed electrician in your province.
The Smart Splitter works with Level 2 EV chargers when the plug type and amperage are compatible with your outlet and breaker. Many Canadian drivers use a Tesla Mobile Connector, J1772 portable charger, Wallbox, Autel, or similar plug-in charger. Take the compatibility quiz if you are unsure which Smart Splitter model fits your setup.
The app lets Smart Splitter users track energy use, see charging sessions, set schedules, and shift charging toward lower-cost hours where your utility offers time-of-use rates. It is especially useful for provinces and utilities with overnight or ultra-low overnight pricing.
NeoCharge ships Smart Splitters across Canada, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Canada, and the territories. Taxes, duties, and shipping options are shown at checkout.
Canadian customers receive the same NeoCharge warranty and North American support as other customers. If you are unsure about your outlet, charger plug, or breaker size, check compatibility before ordering so you get the correct model the first time.
EV CHARGERS
Need a charger too? Autel, Wallbox, Lenz, and other Level 2 chargers can pair with your Smart Splitter setup when the plug and amperage match your home.
